Josh Kerr advanced to the 5th round on his Rusty Hydroflex Natural
board before being eliminated by close friend, Jordy Smith.
Kerr won two consecutive heats prior, defeating Damien Hobgood,
Matt Wilkinson, and eliminating Bede Durbidge in round three.

Another surfer found shredding a Hydroflex board was Matt Wilkinson.
Matt advanced to the third round with his Bradley Hydroflex Natural
before being defeated by contest champion Kelly Slater.

Torrey Meister on Hydroflex - Hurley Pro 2012 at Trestles
Torrey Meister received the highest total score in the Bud Light Lime
expression session final, with four non-tour surfers surfing against
the four top Hurley Pro competitors who had been eliminated.
Torrey also scored the only perfect 10 of the contest in his first heat
on a board by Robert Weiner with Hydroflex Natural Tech.

A girl scored a Hydroflex hat the Hurley Pro.

Once again, Kelly Slater has dominated the 2012 Hurley Pro at Lower
Trestles, Southern California, after defeating Joel Parkinson.
Waves were pumping at around 5-6 feet that allowed for high quality
performance surfing. This win puts Kelly in third place in the World
Championship Tour and gets him one step closer to his 12th world title.

This win was not only his third consecutive Hurley Pro win, but also
marks his 50th Championship Tour win of his career. The Hurley Pro
is a critical stage of the ASP World Tour and the entire beach arena
was excited to see the Kelly and Parko surf in the finals. Kelly got to
an early lead with a seven-point wave that resulted in Parko playing
catch-up for the rest of the heat. Kelly was on fire, ripping apart the
head-high waves at Trestles, and finished with a two wave score of
16.5 to Parko’s 14.0.

Kelly claimed the $105,000 purse and takes with him tons of
momentum going into the European leg of the tour. The 2012 ASP
World Tour now heads to Europe for the Quiksilver Pro France on
September 28 in the South of the country.
