I don’t have a team per se, I consider anyone that orders a custom is a “team member”.
I don’t give boards away and do trade-in's, no one on the payroll. Everyone that rides an Oak Foils pays for them.
I have shaped for many pros in the past. As a shaper I don't think it really validates myself as shaper. My main focus is to custom shape boards tailored for the individual. Either it be pros, or the local ripper, to the weekend warrior, they all get the same amount of detail into each shape.

Oak Foils Surfboards are all designed and shaped by Wayne Okamoto in polyester and epoxy located in Lawndale, California. "The Heart of the So Bay", LA USA. Wayne is well known as a custom underground surfboard shaper and has been a ghost shaper for many of the popular brands from the modern high tuned and tweaked performance short board to the modern retro traditional longboard since the mid 70s.
Oak Foils Surfboards are custom made to order specializing in one to one personal design utilizing modern technologies and also traditional hand shaped methods by blending both methods. On the vanguard of modern technology Wayne Okamoto has designed and built his own state of the art machine, methods and utilizing true 3d software and digitizing methods. His methods specializing in maintaining the accuracy of his hand shapes, not what the software determines the best tool patch. It's like taking analogue data; a handshaped design and saving all your hand tweaked passes on the board in 3D.
