About Roberts Surfboards

Robert Weiner shaped his first surfboard when he was twelve out of a used old longboard. He put of the fiberglas and shaped a fishboard with a super low rocker. His second surfboard was shaped during a school project at the age of thirteen. Then he paused until he was 26 and started shaping surfboards again.
He founded his own label, Roberts Surfboards, in 1994 working fulltime as a surfboard shaper since 1996. The driving force behind Roberts Surfboards designs was constant refinement from surfers’ feedback and his own surfing experiences (Robert surfs most days of the week and still competes in the NSSA) in order to push the limits of surf board performance and surfboard design. The main goal of Roberts Surfboards is to create high caliber, high quality surfboards that will push the envelope of the sport.
Since that time, not only the sport progressed at a rate no one would have expected, but the company has grown from its roots in Ventura to become one of the most popular labels in Southern California with a strong hold in the industry.
